3″ And Coming Down
The rule of thumb in Colorado is that it is safe to plant after Mother’s Day. Except, every now and again, we get a storm like the one we are experiencing today, after Mother’s Day. There is at least three inches of snow out there, with more falling every minute. Of course, the weather has this all passing in two days. We’ll be back to blue skies, green fields and warm weather. But today, it is snowy, wet and cold.
Weather Cancels Ice Cream Social
With the drab weather, my office is forced to cancel our annual Ice Cream Social to benefit Community Food Share. We are still hoping to raise money and food donations, but alas no Sweet Cow Ice Cream party this year. Did you attend last year? We had sunny skies and a good turn out. If you are interested in making a donation, hit me up for an email-able link.
Spring Selling Season
Even as the snow cools the local climate for a few days, we are still experiencing a hot sellers market. Low inventory remains a real issue for Boulder and the surrounding area. Buyers take note – the freak snow is a great day to view homes. Far less competition if you make an offer on a snowy day.
What I’m seeing, both on the listing and buying sides of transactions – homes sell quickly with multiple offers at or above full price!
Ohio Wesleyan University Connection
Very excited to soon welcome a new college intern to work with me. This summer I’ll have a student from OWU working alongside me at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Over the last several years, I’ve enjoyed a great relationship with the University of Colorado at Boulder. The interns I’ve hired have been fantastic. Several have gone onto really excited careers with EY, Charles Schwab, Re/Max International and Traveler’s Insurance.
Now is a good time to talk about getting your property on the market for the summer. Please give me a call or shoot me an email to find out what your house is worth. I know tax evaluations were just sent and many clients are excited their home’s have jumped in value. Some are also wondering about contesting the tax surge. I can help with that as well.
Time to shovel off the car and head for an appointment. Oh, I wish I hadn’t removed the snow tool from my car the other day.
